A World War One nurse who worked in a hospital in Birmingham, treating soldiers from Gallipoli and France, kept a diary throughout 1914 and 1915 which has now come to light. Dr Vivien Leigh wants to ensure her grandmother’s diary is not forgotten and has kindly given us permission to publish pages from the diary.
