Hawick, Scotland, continues to honour 60 local men who served and died with the 1/4th (Borders) Battalion of the King’s Own Scottish Borderers. On 12 July 2014, The Callants Club commemorated the occasion, as it has done faithfully each year since 1916, with a wreath-laying and a commemorative service.
