Passed by Censor Exhibition
A documentary and philatelic exhibiton about the prisoners of war of the ottoman empire and british during the great war at the ottoman front
On Wednesday 22nd July President John Crowe was warmly welcomed by Mehmet Sen and Nilufer Kol at the above exhibition. It was held in the Institute’s premises at 10 Maple Street, London W1. Following the visit, President Crowe said “This was truly an international exhibition. It not only show the British and French POW during the conflict, more importantly it displayed the photographs and messages home from Turkish Prisoners which had not been seen before. It was a very humbling experience. I am grateful for this invitation”.
The exhibition was organised by ‘Yunus Emre Institute’ in London in association with ITSEB- the Association of Turkish Speaking Health Professionals.
