Tom Murphy’s recently-unveiled statue of Trooper Potts VC has been hailed as a worthy addition to the landscape and heritage of Reading. It also stands as a further addition to the impressive body of work created by this gifted Liverpool artist and sculptor. The scope and diversity of the work of this personable and self-effacing artist speaks for itself, and is both well-established and internationally recognised. Tom is also an accomplished painter and has been commissioned to paint many key Merseyside figures, including the official retirement portrait of Mr John Moores.
