For the second year running G&DI had the immense privilege of taking part in this extremely important national ceremony of remembrance.
We were fortunate that the weather was fine with a pleasant temperature. Our G&DI group reflected the ‘International’ nature of our objectives. We had representatives from the UK, New Zealand, Australia, France and Turkey.
As we approached H.R. The Duke of Cambridge who took the salute some of the spectators shouted ‘Gallipoli’ and there was applause. This was extremely moving and it touched us all.
When relaxing over lunch after the ceremony all the G&DI members expressed their pride at being able to participate.
