Another successful visit to Turkey in friendship with our friends in the Gallipoli Association of Turkey (Gelibolu Dernegi).
For the first time we had the privilege of visiting the German World War 1 Cemetery (Tarabya) in Istanbul.
This was with the kind permission of the German Ambassador to Turkey thanks to the arrangements made by Dr Haldun Solmazturk.
We were also very fortunate to have Colonel Klaus Wolf as our guide. After many years of research he is an established authority on the subject of German involvement in the campaign of 1915.
