Annual visit by Gallipoli & Dardanelles International to Turkey

After visiting historic sites in Istanbul, the group moved on to Tekirdag to visit our Patron the Mayor, Dr Candan Yureer MD.

We were accompanied by Dr Haldun Salzmaturk

As always we were given a warm reception of tea and chocolates.

Gifts were exchanged between the President and Mayor.

The President explained how important Tekirdag was in the context of remembering 1915, as Mustafa Kemal Ataturk had his troops stationed here.

Committee Member Eric Langford gave presents from the Village of Snettisham, linked in friendship with the village of Kucuk Anafarta.

After fond farewells the group moved on to Gelibolu.
